Project
It was supposed to be a true automotive gem for e.Go Mobile, a German manufacturer of electric cars. On the occasion of the premiere of a new model, the client needed a modern virtual business card. Our task was to create a website and an online car configurator - from the frontend side. The project in the area of web development was carried out thanks to cooperation with our long-time partner ConceptX agency.
During work, it was a challenge to seamlessly embed the 3D animation of the car overlapping other elements of the website. At first, only the outside, and later also the inside of the car. On top of that, we also had to implement a challenging mechanism used for split upload of images in the animation, as well as making a side menu. In the mobile version, we decided on the bottom navigation bar. Thanks to this, the user immediately sees the structure of the most important subpages, which allows him to quickly and smoothly navigate between them. On the other hand, the configurator is a strict sales tool. It allows you to choose e.g. version, color, type of rims, electrician’s interior, equipment, and insurance. Each configuration has its unique code that the user can reuse to check the selected vehicle, equipment, and additional services. The code can be downloaded and saved by the user or sent to the e-mail address indicated by him. What’s more, the configurator automatically conducts upselling activities.
The website e.Go Mobile accompanied the launch of the new e.wave X electric car model. The event was attended by one of the biggest football stars Neymar, which became the face of the brand. The configurator subpage was launched half a year later during the Paris Motor Show. The platforms complement each other perfectly. The new site is elegant, spectacular and, above all, encourages users to buy the new electric car. In turn, thanks to the online configurator, the user will intuitively prepare a car model that is tailored to his needs and financial capabilities.
